The curse
Azurite sits at her desk, an open book before her. The fact that Chael had been so willing to look for an answer surprised her, and gave her hope. Her fears were not unfounded. The mark she bore upon her chest was not a sign left for her, but a tool to alow Jagang to find her when ever he wished.

Her heart sank a little as she read the text before her. There had been few documented cases of people who were marked in the manner she was, all of which had long since perished. There was no known way of removing the curse, nor could she shield herself from the eyes of the one who had placed the curse on her.

Every minute of every day he could be watching. Unwitingly she could deliver Chael to Jagang just by meeting with him. But the leader of First File was not stupid, he knows the risks. Chael had mentioned his sister, Shaire. He said she was more familiar with the ways of magic and curses than he was. Perhaps she may be able to help.

Azurite sighs deeply, in only a matter of days she was now seeking guidance from a magic user, the cause of the chaos, the catalyst of evil. The very thing she had worked so hard to rid the realm of.

All that she believed in was shadowed in doubt. Her faith was gone, but in it's place was hope. The heart which she had turned into stone, never alowing anyone to get close, was now softening a little. The more she learned, the farther the wedge between herself, her clan and her own beliefs grew. Somehow she must find a way to find out what transpires at the meeting between Jagang and the leader of the Imperial Order. In as long as she can remember there has never been a personal audience between any Order member and Jagang himself. What ever that is to be discussed must be of great importance. It is by sheer luck that she even knows of the intended meeting. She could not believe that Korbi had been so foolish as to not dispose of the parchment properly.

She must meet with Chael and his sister Shaire as soon as she can. She must find a way to shield herself from Jagang, and to hear what he has planned. Azurite knows that this meeting, and what comes from it may determine her future, as well as the future of the realm.
