Lady Azurite,
I am writing you out of respect for my brother's wishes. I do not trust you, as you serve a master that wishes for that I love to be exterminated like so much vermin. Many deaths you have no doubt been the source of, all for your master's pleasure. Whether you are fooling Chael or not, you are a danger to him. I will not be at ease until your are either dead or no longer a lap dog to that monster. That being clear, I will move on to Chael's wishes. He was to meet you and help you retrieve an item of import for a cleansing ritual you require. Since Chael's heart is in this, though my heart screams it is madness to do this for you, I will follow his judgement. You must seek out the dragon, Scarlet, and return to me with one of her eggs. Chael will not be meeting you. He was following a tail back to it's source, when he was ambushed by a dark sister and her Mriswith servants. My brother, as you should know, was not taken easily. He laid low eight of those foul Mriswith before the sister caught him in a spell. She is powerful and used the Mriswith as a distraction while she cast a potent spell of capture. Chael was not fooled, and he was caught just short of the dark sister, his dagger stopping inches from her chest. The Keeper's luck was with her this time. One less Mriswith and Chael would be telling you this tale. I would have gone to my death to secure his rescue, but he knows me too well. He figured I was scrying him, and as they took him he gave me three commands: Do not come for him, do not let you come for him, and complete your ritual of cleansing. He has something up his sleeve yet I beleive, though I know that look in his eyes too well. He is afraid. Do not worry too greatly for him, Lady. Most likely his fear is for you, because while away he cannot protect you. He has gaurded your bed chamber many nights of late, though you knew it not. He would not tell you for fear of shaming you. He may be in a tight spot, but he survived our home. No dark sister will bring him any pain he cannot bear. The pain he would not bear is if you were to attempt a rescue and not be rid of your curse. We must complete the ritual first, and then we can discuss a rescue, despite my brother's orders. After all, he did not say we could not try after you were cleansed. Let us hope he has found a way to escape by then. I will not lie to you. This ritual will leave you drained and in my care for at least a week. It will tax your body heavily. I will leave you to choose then. I have delivered Chael's wishes. Contact me when you have made your choice. -Ambassadress Shaire |
