Aurelia Returns to Hartland
*from Aurelia's private journal*

It was as the two men said, the drow and the quickling, whose names I can not recall..

As they said, vampires invaded this world. I am very lucky that they warned me, for I do not doubt that I would have been mistaken for the enemy had I remained in town.

This is not my fault, of course, but the fault of the foolish mortals, who hack and slash and throw magics at whatever they see that flashes a fang. A very animalistic, paranoid fear, that drives them to protect themselves against fears both known and imagined.

I wear not the armour of the enemy, nor am I a fighter of any sort, but this place was dangerous to all of my kind only less than a day ago.

It both saddens me and angers me that these people have so much to learn about other creatures, and how both good and evil can reside in all. I, for example, generally follow the path of good, feeding only from criminals and those who would dare attack me.

I can only hope that the anti-vampire sentiment brought on by Yagris's invasion will not bring harm to any innocent vampires, such as myself.

When I find the two men, I shall have to have a long talk with them. I saw in them a genuine concern for my safety, a chivalrous desire to protect females and the innocent. I find this admirable, and would like to lend my services to them.
