Sitting in his large chair within the meeting room, his head raises from his thoughts as Megora burst into the room. She seemed quite troubled and it appeared she was sweating as she panted to catch her breath. She was still wearing her evening gown but it was apparent her thoughts were anywhere but on her clothing. "Yes Megora? " Finally catching her breath she began, As soon as I awoke by the noise, I ran to the observatory. Ecks.. The rift, its.. " Ecks nodded, "Yes, yes I know. " She continued, "I was able to get a closer look at the beings, they are definately vampires and it seems they have varied abilities based on their choice of attire. " She seemed to realize for a second what her own attire was, and after a quick glance down at herself she quickly took a seat and began agian. "It appears the main force is heading for Hartland. I could see some commotion coming from the town, plus it seems there was a small force gathering in the center of Hartland. They appear to be joining to fight the onslaught. Ecks, there is a small force heading this way too.. Nearly a few hundred. They'll be near the High Tower in less than an hour. "

Ecks simply nodded as he took it all in, then calmly spoke in a decisive tone. "You are to defend the High Tower. Zauber has no doubt assembled the warrior magi by now and should be on his way here. You shall gather all the other experienced magi and form a tight perimeter around the Tower with a strong focus toward the enemy. I want you, with the help of a few others, to use your gifts to create a shield about the Tower and the surrounding magi. Construct it from the observatory, so that your view will be clear. Have magi positioned wherever else you feel nessicary. " With quickness, Zauber entered the room and took a seat at the table near Ecks. Confidently he simply said, "We are ready m'lord. " Ecks gave him a quick acknowledging nod, then faced Megora once more and continued, "I don't know how long this battle will last. Zauber and I will be leading our force out towards the vampires to give you some time, after we make our way past them you will be on your own untill we return. Go, prepare the magi you need, make sure everyone is ready, and may your knowledge serve you well. " As Megora began to stand, Ecks added quietly with a chuckle, "You may wish to slip into something more suitable. I doubt a woman in her night clothes would cause these vampires any fear. " She smirked as she stood fully and responded with confidence, "No one shall bring any harm to the High Tower Ecks, you know that even if this was all I had to wear, my abilities alone would make any being think twice before causing trouble upon myself and those I respect. Now if you will excuse me, I must prepare. " Ecks met her smile with one of his own as he watched her turn and leave the room.

Looking at Zauber he grins, "I am quite glad she is able to prove that my decision to have her become my second, was a wise one. Always a good answer from her. " He chuckles as he rises from his seat, his expression turning more serious. "Zauber, the time for action is soon at hand. After I brief the magi in the hall, we shall lead them out. Megora should be prepared to do her part at that time. " With a quick nod to Zauber, they both proceed to the hall where the magi are anxiously awaiting.
