While there is still some light left to the day, I have sat down to write a quick note to the Boundary Wardens informing them of the task that I have undertaken.

To the Boundary Wardens,

I Marhic Caerlic have undertaken the task of investigating the missing elves from the Valley of the Elves. I am only a full days journey away from the valley and have begun to see an occasional set of tracks for Orcs and Goblins. This does bring many questions to mind when I find these tracks.

If it where possible, could one of the rangers of the clan come assist me in this investigation? I am quite sure that the tracking expertise of the rangers would be invaluable to me in this journey. I will camp for the night and continue on to the valley at first light. I hope to meet up with one of the young Warden trackers.

After writting out the letter and sealing it, Marhic retrieves one of the pidgeons that he brought along. Attaching the note to the pidgeon, he releases the bird knowing that it will only take a few hours for the bird to make it back to the Warden stronghold. Marhic turns and begins gathering wood to build a fire so that he may cook a meal for himself.
