Several weeks have gone by as Ecks has spent his time in this ghost of
a world he once knew as Thera. He has been collecting information as well
as strengthening his own mind and skills. It felt so unusually strange
to be back there again. Even if it wasn't truly real, it was close enough
to bring a strange warmth of remembrance to him. He walked the empty halls
of the High Tower
there, taking in the differences in the structures from the one in his
new realm.
Now after spending so much time, Ecks has finish what he first sought to do; improve upon his memory, and more-so gained new insight as to his own purpose for reforming the Tower. Much is to be done back in his new realm and the time has come to return once again. He pulls the small, intricate wand from a strap on his belt and studies it for several minutes. Finally he mutters, "It would have been a good idea to have asked Zauber how this particular wand is activated.." He sighs, "I was so caught up in this new discovery I must have lost my senses.... Great." "Well.. It was given to me by Zauber.. So, it couldn't be that hard to use... And I think I know how this type of wand works anyway." Carefully lifting the wand above his head with his right hand, he closes his eyes and focuses his mind on his High Tower; the prominent symbol of his new realm. The illusionary world about him begins to flare with brilliant light so blinding that white is all anyone would see if they were looking. The white light begins to fade quickly to pitch black darkness and the tip of the wand begins to pulsate with a red glow. As the pulsing grows quicker the darkness becomes sucked into the tip of the wand and through the wand it becomes a swirling thick mist that envelopes Ecks's body. Soon after the mist evaporates and his hair settles to his shoulders, Ecks opens his eyes, a clear view of the afternoon sun hanging low over a nearby mountain range catches his sight as he realizes he is exactly at the spot he and Zauber had found the strange portal. Lowering his hand he examines the wand once again, "I thought so.. Hmm, it shouldn't take much longer.." The wand begins to lose its red glow and when it does it cracks in several places all at once. What few pieces are left in his upturned palm are all that remains as the rest had fallen and turn to dust before reaching the ground. He dusts his hands upon his sides and begins his walk back to the High Tower, anxious to begin his work. But before he can get there, an old friend catches his attention.
